Principle The system has two operation stages: filtering and back washing. Filter stage: The Helix generates a centrifugal helical effect which moves the larger particles away from the discs. This allows the discs to concentrate on removing the finer particles without build up of the larger particles on the filtration surface. Backwash stage: when a certain pressure difference or time arrived, the filtered water is introduced in reverse through the filtering element which decompresses the stack of discs, starting the backwash. The solids are expelled from the discs and are then evacuated through the drainage manifold.
